Simply reading our public pages places no strictly necessary cookie. On the property landing pages we host for estate agents, the advertising cookies described in section 3.2 may be set where you have consented to them.

sidebar_state records a choice you made yourself, inside the signed-in platform, and
holds nothing but true or false. It is not used to identify you, is never read by
anyone outside HomeFeed, and is set nowhere on our public pages.
Purpose: These cookies are used to deliver advertisements relevant to you and your interests only where you have explicitly consented. If you do not provide consent, these cookies will not be placed on your device.
Can you disable them? Yes — through our Cookie Preference Centre, browser settings, or industry opt-out tools (see Section 7).
Where they are placed: Only on the property landing pages we host for estate agents, and only where the agent has configured a Meta Pixel. They are not placed anywhere else on our website or in the HomeFeed application.

What is sent, and to whom: Where you consent, our page loads Meta's tracking script (connect.facebook.net) and reports your page view to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Meta receives your IP address, browser and device information, the landing page you viewed, and the two cookies above. For that collection and transmission, HomeFeed and Meta act as joint data controllers. Meta's own subsequent use of the data is governed by its terms, and it may transfer the data to the United States. If you do not consent, the script is not loaded, no page view is reported, and neither cookie is set.

Small transparent graphic images, or the scripts behind them, which report that a page has been viewed or an action taken. The only one on any HomeFeed page is the Meta Pixel described in section 3.2, which runs on an agent's property landing pages where you have consented to targeting and advertising cookies. It reports the page view and, if you submit an enquiry or registration form, that you did so. We do not use pixels or beacons in email: open tracking and click tracking are both switched off on our sending domain, and we place none in our own templates.
HTML5 local storage allows us to store small amounts of data in your browser. We use it for exactly two things: your cookie choices and the date you made them (see section 10.3), and — for HomeFeed support staff working across more than one agency account — which account they last had selected. We do not cache property data in your browser, and the Services have no offline mode. You can clear local storage through your browser settings.
Temporary storage that expires when you close your browser tab. We use it in one place: the campaign builder inside the signed-in platform remembers which advert format you picked, so that stepping backwards through the form does not lose it. No security token and no personal data is held in session storage.
We do not use social sharing buttons, embedded social content, or social login. No social media platform sets a cookie through our website, with the single exception of the Meta Pixel described in section 5.1, which runs only where you have consented to targeting and advertising cookies. Links to an agency's own social media profiles are ordinary links: they set no cookie unless you follow them, and what happens after that is the destination site's own business.
The suppliers below help us run the platform. Neither sets a cookie on your device through our website, and neither is a third-party cookie provider. They are named here because they hold or carry data about you, not because they place anything in your browser.

We use no live-chat or help-desk tool, and no map service. A property's location is converted from a postcode to coordinates by our servers calling a UK postcode lookup (Ideal Postcodes), and that request is made server-to-server, so no map or location provider receives your IP address or any other data about you.
For the advertising cookies described in section 3.2 ("Targeting and Advertising Cookies"), HomeFeed and Meta act as joint data controllers in respect of the collection and transmission of your data to Meta. Meta's own subsequent use of that data is governed by its privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. Other third-party providers named in this policy act as data processors on our behalf.
Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. Used for essential functionality like maintaining login state. Not stored on your device permanently.
Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (from minutes to years). Activated each time you visit the website that created them. Used for remembering preferences and settings. Duration varies by purpose (see tables above).
Some cookies refresh their expiration date each time you visit, ensuring they remain active as long as you continue using the Services.
Click on the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website to see the two cookie categories described in section 3, accept or reject the non-essential one, change your preference at any time, and withdraw consent previously given. The individual cookies in each category are listed in section 3 rather than in the preference centre itself. Your choice is stored and remembered for future visits.
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. Instructions for common browsers:
iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking — disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track". Settings > Privacy > Location Services to control location tracking.
Android: Settings > Google > Ads — opt out of Ads Personalisation. Settings > Location to control location tracking.
There is no industry-wide standard for responding to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Instead of relying on DNT signals, we rely on the explicit choices you make through our cookie banner and Cookie Preference Centre. If you enable DNT in your browser, we will not use this as consent for non-essential cookies. You will still need to provide consent through our cookie banner.
You can reject non-essential cookies and continue to use the basic functionality of our website. Rejecting advertising cookies will prevent consent-dependent advertising technologies from being activated; nothing else about the site changes. Disabling strictly necessary cookies through your browser may prevent core functions such as account login or session security from working correctly.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, new technologies or tracking methods, changes in legal requirements, updates to our business practices, or new third-party services. We rely on your explicit consent to use non-essential cookies. You provide this consent through our cookie banner when you first visit the website, or through the Cookie Preference Centre at any time. There is one category of non-essential cookies you can consent to: advertising and targeting. If you have a HomeFeed account and are signed in, we also keep a record of the choice on our servers: the categories you chose, whether you accepted or rejected, when you did so, the version of this policy you were shown, and the IP address and browser user agent the choice was made from. We keep it so that we can evidence the consent you gave and restore your choice to a new browser when you sign in there.
We do not use "cookie walls" that completely prevent access to our website if you reject cookies. However, some features may require certain cookies to function.
Some cookies may contain or be linked to personal data, including identifiers (user IDs, session IDs), IP addresses, browsing history, location data, and device information.
